In reply to Anneke Houtkamp:  off the top of my head, I think I'd leave
the 362 running as usual, with nothing added for the numbering error --
and then add a note on the order of:  Issues for <Jan-June, 1999> called
vol. 79, nos. 1-6 in error, but constitute v. 77, nos. 1-6.  or: Issues
for vol. 77, nos. 1-6 (Jan.-June 1999) called vol. 79, nos. 1-6 in
error.  I'd then bind the volume as vol. 77.  If the indexing of those
issues refers to articles in vol. 79, either the year (1999 instead of
2001) will clue at least the librarian (if not the reader) that
something is different and suggest the possible reason, or the note in
the bibliographic record will give the patron/librarian all the
necessary information.
