Presents the next in its series of open forums.

Publishers Sights on the Web: how we communicate in the on-line environment

WHERE: New Orleans Convention Center, Room 91
WHEN: Monday, January 12th, 9:30-11am

What do you want to see on a publishers web site? Is what you find there
helpful? Come join a panel with two librarians and two publishers to discuss
what works and what doesn't.

Nancy Gibbs, Head of Acquistions, North Carolina State University
Joe Raker, Head of Acquisitions, Boston Public Library
Jay Trolley, Director of Corporate Communications, Institute for
Scientific Information
        Stephen Rhind-Tutt, President, Chadwyck-Healey

The majority of websites perform various marketing and sales functions
somewhere between the initial creation of a website and the ability to
deliver an electronic product via the site. What publishers decide to
include and how they went about developing their websites is balanced with
the views of the users who have discovered what is helpful and what detracts
from a good site.

Please join us for what should be an great discussion.

Panel Coordinator: Judy Luther, President, Market Development Services
PVLR Chair:` James Mouw, University of Chicago Library
