If patrons notice pages torn from bound periodical volumes, the Circulation Staff process the request to ILL; if page problems are noted when current issues are gathered for binding, the Periodicals Staff process the request to ILL. We always request all missing pages, regardless of what might be printed on them (for example, we have requested, and then tipped-in, pages that are total advertisements on both sides, both because ads are cultural documents and to prevent patron questions in the future). The requests to our ILL Staff always request inclusive pages, and include the statement: "To replace pages [missing, torn, mutilated, etc.] from library's copy." To my recollection, there never has been an instance where the lending library has not supplied photocopies of the pages (or covers) that we requested. Glen K. A note that all pages are wanted could be inserted here. Our Periodicals Assistant completes a full ILL form when requesting replacement pages.
