I handle acquisitions of periodicals for Naperville (IL) Public Libraries.
The person who checks in our periodicals each day noticed that the May issue
had different vol. numbering than earlier issues of Womens Sports & Fitness
and passed it to me to check on further. I compared that issue with
previous ones, and noticed that the entire staff of editors, etc. had
changed. I contacted the magazine and they indicated that the Womens Sports
& Fitness organization who had been publishing this magazine had sold it to
Conde Nast. We did find a new oclc record and have added it to our
database. I don't have the oclc number handy, but I am sure you can find
it.
