Access, Collections, and Technical Services Section (CLA ACTSS).
Developed from a shorter workshop presented at the ALA ACRL
Rare Books and Manuscripts Section Preconference held in
Montreal in June, 1999.

This full-day workshop will provide participants with experience
in the problems and techniques of cataloging rare serials through
presentations, informative handouts, and hands-on exercises.
Participants are encouraged to bring specific cataloging problems.
Attendance will be limited to 25 participants.

experience and serials catalogers who have responsibility for cataloging
rare materials. A working knowledge of DCRB (Descriptive Cataloging of
