Can anyone please help?

Our library has just upgraded to dynix 180, and we are now unable to
enumerate supplements correctly. Whereas before we could put v.1 suppl.1
(for a numbered supplement), or v.1 suppl. to no.1 (for an unnumbered
supplement), the software now won't accept this.

Because we issue our journals, whatever we do has to work not only in
the
dynix serials module, but also in the OPAC and circulation modules.

I have just discussed this with one of my colleagues in another library.
Their solution is not to use supplement pub. patterns at all (they say
that
these do not work, but that hasn't been our experience), but to enter
each
and every supplement as a special issue (!). I do not look on this as a
viable option.

How do other dynix libraries who are on release 180 handle supplements?
Any
suggestions gratefully received.
