Hi Ellen,

We recently heard about your concerns with the Annals of Internal Medicine changing its number of issues annually from 24 to 12 beginning January 2021. We sent the attached notice to all Annals institutional subscribers and subscription agencies in July outlining the change. We want to assure you that the amount, type and quality of content we offer will not change.

We thank St. Francis Hospital for being a valued subscriber and look forward to continuing to provide industry-leading content to your patrons in the future.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions you may have.

Best regards,

Good morning,

I just received the annual journal renewal invoice from my subscription vendor. At first site, it looked like Annals of Internal Medicine had about a 2.5% decrease from 2020 to 2021. However, further investigation show that the number of issues decreased from 24 per year to 12 per year. This doubled the per issue price. Most publishers had very small increases, or even decreases in the subscription prices. Has anyone contact the ACP about this? If yes, what did they say?
