3/6 a first-time middle passenger scheduled to board the PCs ship for their coming departure shows up just after local midnight of the scheduled departure date, having completely ignored that his ticketing information states that check-in begins no earlier than two standard hours prior to lift-off . . . which time is some sixteen hours from the current moment. If this individual is refused the right to board [as he should be . . . because somebody will have to remain aboard to watch him, when the crew were all expecting another half-day of liberty], he will begin causing a loud disturbance, shouting about breach of contract [never mind that this is totally baseless, as any moron who can read would know . . .] and the ruination of his long-saved-for bucket-list vacation before it can even begin. Absent VERY skillful roleplaying, it will take a call to starport security followed by eviction of the troublemaker without refund to resolve the situation. [Six times in the forty years that I've been working hotel front desk jobs, I've had guests show up just after midnight on a Friday, wanting to check in for their Saturday night stay, into a room where someone who reserved Friday night is currently sleeping. I only actually had to call the cops on one of these folk . . . but this is a random encounter table entry.]
