Err...

1) Install DOSbox
2) From within DOSbox, install Win311
3) From within Win311, install the Navigator files

It really is that easy. However, there are a couple of quirks which may catch you out.

1) I find it's better to set up a custom DOSbox.config file to run Win311 automatically when running DOSbox )with the command 'dosbox -conf /path/to/your/config/file' - use back slashes on Windows boxes) but this could just be an idiosyncracy of how my Linux box is set up.

2) You may need to change the fullscreen option to true in your config file. There's a change in recent versions of the SDL libraries which means DOSbox can no longer capture the mouse in windowed mode and this is the workaround.

The default config file is very thoroughly commented and the DOSbox manual is reasonably good, so everyone should find the above pretty easy. Just remember to copy and rename the config file, rather than making any changes directly to it.

The only problem might be finding a legitimate copy of Win311. I am aware of hookey copies floating around on t'interwebs, but I'm going to leave it up to the individual to choose whether of not they want to go down that route.

As a bonus, you also get to run Jim Vassilakos' 'Galactic'

Many thanks for that, Jeff. I can now add that the files install and run on Win311 running under DOSbox.
