While in the infamous thieves’ port of Theev (Trojan Reach 2116), several Aslan clans were sold information about the transfer of a new Gionetti-class light cruiser. The Melissa Haney was being transferred from the Imperial base at Nekrino (Trojan Reach 2515) to Realgar (Trojan Reach 2213) with only a light escort. The critical information was that the group would stop in Chalchiutlicue (Trojan Reach 2214) on a "show the flag" mission.
Seeing an opportunity to capture the ship in transit, a pair of Aslan clans formed a joint raiding party to ambush the Imperials at Chalchiutlicue.
Much to the surprise and dismay of the Aslan, the Pavel Vlasov, an Atlantic-class heavy cruiser, decided to tag along with the Melissa Haney. Its captain was looking for an excuse to secure a supply of Chalchiutlicue whiskey...
