I've always found it interesting that SJG's timeline went on & on well after the 'rebellion' one petered out.

When I went through Donald McKinney's Integrated Timeline a while back I did not notice any changes between GT material and the various entries from the other Traveller versions. Then again I was not looking that hard either.
