My searches for creatures turns up mostly nothing or "aliens" meaning star trek type, 2 arms, 2 legs, sexy body and a funny head. I don't know how closely you looked but a good bit of my alien creature are Earth bugs but they do at least look a bit unique and might inspire better ideas.
