Agreed. I suspect that - over time - the author come to realize that making the Dorsai the only "real" soldiers in his setting was a BIT extreme. A universe that still needs soldiers would hardly let all of them that were worth anything come exclusively from the same world . . . because that's already an intergalactic empire in all but name. But individual Dorsai working as advisors or training cadre for off-planet forces wouldn't really have anything to do with the organization of Dorsai's [the world's] own forces.
