Scaling is done as part of the 3D printing process, and any scale can be assigned.
Actually going to a demo of a new higher speed printer tomorrow.

SyFy has release printable models of numerous ships from the series: http://www.syfy.com/syfylabs/blog/the-expanse-3d-printing Alas there’s no indication of the scale of these models, but 3-d printing is going to massively change the minis world.
