Beat me to it. Just missing one bit (implied, but may need to be stated explicitly): “Originally published by Ad Astra Games (2005)”, who later released the movement engine as… Squadron Strike.

Exactly. Ken (Burnside) was going to release three metal miniatures – Scout, Beowulf, Gazelle - as part of the Spinward Traveller KS. However, he - along with a number of people on this project!! - did not get paid, so the Gazelle did not get built and sent. What he did, though, was send out the other two anyway (when he finally received the backers’ addresses - only a year late!).

 

So not only was this not his fault, but he apologised for the delay (in an accompanying note), and sent the minis anyway!

 

I’m currently drooling over the Aslan ships and the P. F. Sloan. They’d accompany my Imperial and Zhodani Fleet Boxes perfectly!  ;-)
