That’s because it’s a fairly high-powered IR laser meant to be aimed at people, not because it’s emitting gamma, alpha or beta particles ‘radiation’

But it's the thought that counts . . . :)

E.g. a certain percentage of injuries (even deaths) from "friendly" sources is acceptable in training, not to mention in action.
