Just remember, the Bureaucracy is not as bad as customer service...
The government doesn't give you a negative performance review because

Good point.  I'm probably going to imagine something like the bureaucracy I know here at a university.  Not essentially bad, but just at the mercy of the human elements (laziness, busyness, laxness, illness, mistakes...)

It might be fun within the recursive nature of the whole thing to add a mini-loop which is difficult to get out of.

(b'crat: Contact Miss X on this number....
calling number: Please wait while we transfer you to her new number.
calling new number: Miss X is no longer at this number, please call this number...)

I would definitely say that adventure needs some tables for names and
how you find them (and we have toblerone over here too!),

phew!  I never like to assume - it's surprising how different chocolate bars can be between here and Europe, never mind further afield.

plus maybe
(I haven't read it yet) the chance of an individual bureaucrat
misfiling their paperwork or delaying it because they misfiled
something else...

Ooooh, I like that.  And one that just can't be reached because they're always in meetings or out of office or on holiday...

But not there yet.  Still need to get out of the woods on Aramanx.  Literally.  Next meeting in the middle of May.

Oh, and after another 90+ minutes yesterday of not getting much beyond 'escalation', they do seem to have fixed the MyAccount access as of this morning.  Now if we could just get a phone line...  (it rang yesterday. Once.  But didn't work and no dial tone).
