In AuricTech Shipyards' proposed fleet courier, TL15 batteries allow the
quad-laser turret to exceed its usual rate of fire by fourfold, giving
it the maximum point-defense rating available to a four-laser PD battery
(under Bruce Alan Macintosh's Military Combat System).

While I'm on the subject, I'm using the Akins spreadsheet, with these
settings:

Cost Modification: 1 (standard for a one-off ship; if produced in
series, the cost would be somewhere around 80% of the listed cost)

Small Craft Mass Multiplier: 1 (the armored skiff I mentioned earlier
has a mass/volume ratio of just under .76, so this provides a useful
"fudge factor" for heavier skiffs)

Subsidized: Yes (this class is designed for Imperial service)

Classification: Military (see above)

Use Realistic Thrust: Yes (isn't this the whole point of the FF&S2
design sequence?)

Use Waste Space: No (see above)
