Kinetic Bombardment Help Kurt Feltenberger 28 Nov 2014 16:51 UTC
For a gaming/writing project loosely using Traveller rules but set in the Ron Moore BSG universe, I've developed a couple of bombardment ships that were designed to use rather large kinetic darts to strike surface targets and possibly have a limited anti ship (if it's in orbit) capability. Where I'm having trouble is coming up with a ballpark for their mass. I'm thinking with the numerous solar systems to mine, that tungsten would be the best option...but I am open to suggestions. Once the material is known, the next step is to figure out a mass and these two steps are where I need some help. The two darts' specs are located here: http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/kfeltenberger/library/Colonial%20Warbook/Ortillery%20-%20Bombardment Thanks! -- Kurt Feltenberger xxxxxx@thepaw.org/xxxxxx@yahoo.com “Before today, I was scared to live, after today, I'm scared I'm not living enough." - Me
