 reason why the party is over when the Imperial MArines show

 their FGMPs and their battledress.
 They can take the blast and reflected flash on their
 armour, while you (most likely) can't.

In CT battledress/combat armor isn't that good.

BD/CA appear in LBB Book1 & ar actually surprisingly vulnerable to some of the weapons, like  AutoRifles at short range, included there.

When LBB4 came out with even more lethal weapons things go even hairier.

Even when the HB Traveller Book came out & included a specific DM for hard cover such as stone walls, etc., it was still very lethal.

Which is as it should be, I finally concluded, althou I did allow a favorable (defensive) DM for TL's above TL11 which is the base TL for CA.
