It's easy to deposit it as graphite which has lots of uses. So you'd be dealing with large blocks of that. Depositing it as graphene might be possible and that is *very* useful stuff. Heck, they could probably deposit it as diamond. Wouldn't affect the gem market because it'd be easily detected as artificial. But diamond has a lot of uses too. Especially as "slabs".
