Playing "Still Alive" in the background ought to creep out players
sufficiently.

Or have them activate a terminal and see if anybody notices that the
boot screen identifies the OS as GlasDOS.

And if they are looking for abandoned/lost research installations,
there are all *sorts* of fun company or project names to use.
