It's certainly not unanimous, but keeping track of things on character
sheets can make things easier in some respects.  I certainly don't
require every little thing to be on a character sheet, and even quite
a lot of big things.

The sheets are aids to memory, nothing more, and certainly aren't
definitive.  I do expect that if something is on a character sheet,
that it be correct and up to date.  That's a great deal easier and
more reliable when only the more permanent and important things are on
there.
