I'd say that the best way to describe it is a precursor to TravellerMap
with worldgen capabilities built-in. Written in QBASIC/QuickBASIC, runs on
MSDOS (and compatibles, like FreeDOS) and Windows up to XP, and in DOSBox
or other high-compatibility DOS emulators on Windows 7 and later, and on
non-MS operating systems.
