I started peeking in T5 about how hard it would be to design such a thing...
And the T5 "Z-drive" (Lifters) looks like the way to go... (nod to
Kelly St Clair)

That'd give it an "Ignore terrain, max flight altitude 2m or so, max
speed around 40kph"

Looks like about 8kcr for the vehicle too... which is nice and cheap.
Half a dton for the vehicle, and another 0.25 dtons for the niche,
another 0.25 for spare modules and we're still looking at one dton out
of the ship...
.... instead of 6 dtons and 60kcr for an air/raft and it's hangar.
