Dear Subscriber,

Halloween is a few short days behind us - and it seems that Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks ahead of us!  This is the time of year when everything seems to move extra fast.  The "holidays" are upon us; my sister reports that her favorite radio station in Arkansas has already begun playing round-the-clock Christmas music.  (It is, not surprisingly, no longer her favorite radio station - two months of "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" is more than anyone should have to bear.)

But as we're anticipating, gearing up for, or perhaps bracing ourselves for the Christmas holidays, let me take just a moment to promote.  VictorianVoices.net has some things to offer if you're looking for a gift for the Victoriana-lover on your list - or something nicely Victorian for yourself. (Don't worry, I'll keep this short and sweet.)

First, I've finally pulled together our complete collection of Victorian magazines, including individual magazine downloads and DVD collections.  We have DVD collections of The Girl's Own Paper, The Strand (with a bonus DVD of the post-Victorian years to 1922), Cassell's Family Magazine, Century Magazine, The Illustrated London Almanack, and Chatterbox.  All of these (with the exception of the last two) are also available for individual download.  Plus we have dozens of smaller collections and individual issues available for download.  You can see the full collection at http://www.victorianvoices.net/books/magazines.shtml

We also have a new "deal" on Victorian Times Quarterly - you can save 33% by purchasing volumes directly from VictorianVoices.net - plus get free shipping on US orders.  A small word of warning - it DOES take 2-3 weeks for these to arrive; we don't keep them in stock but order them from the printer when we receive your order. For details visit http://www.victorianvoices.net/books/VTQ.shtml

We have a similar offer, with varying discounts, on all our other Victorian books; our buy-direct discounts range from 10% to 30%.  Visit http://www.victorianvoices.net/books/index.shtml to see our current titles.

And now here's what we have for November:
