Dear Subscriber,

Deja vu?  Does it seem as if you just heard from me?  Well, you did - but I wanted to get our Christmas issue (and details on the holiday Victorian Times Quarterly) out well before the beginning of December.  So here's our last issue of the season, packed with articles, fiction and poetry surrounding the holiday most beloved by Victorians: Christmas. (We even have a "special guest editorial" this month - a Victorian editorial on how to avoid letting the holidays stress you out!  Nothing really changes...)

I hope that this season is beloved by you as well, whatever your customs or beliefs.  The world seems to be working so terribly hard to make this a season of stress and spending, when most of us need just the opposite.  I wonder what Victorians would have thought of "Black Friday?"  I know what I think of it, but... don't get me started. (And having said all that, I just couldn't follow it up with a repeat of last month's promo information, so... if you're interested in our promos or magazine DVD collections, please check out the November issue of the newsletter.)

Now I'm going to take the rest of the season "off" - look for the next issue of Victorian Times in early January!  Enjoy the holidays, enjoy the family, enjoy the food - and don't let the big box stores run your lives!

Here's what we have for December:

Just in time for the holidays - Victorian Times Quarterly #14 is available from Amazon.  Our 14th volume includes the contents of our October, November and December issues - including all the glorious Christmas articles that you'll find in this month's Victorian Times.  As I mentioned last month, you can also order this volume directly from us for a 33% discount - but if you do that, PLEASE do so early.  We order the volume from CreateSpace when your order is placed, and they've been remarkably slow in shipping out books this past month.
