While it sounds cool, the amount of work involved to make it viable (the
construction and then everything has to be digitized and possibly
formatted if you're using some sort of application each and every time)
and the cost make it more of a bragging item than something that many
would use.  For a low cost I can get something that works pretty much
anywhere, is easily portable, and is ready to use for anything from
planned encounters to pickup games that are run seat-of-the-pants style.
