Years ago when I was younger and smarter, we had a party misjumsp into an empty hex. Of course the fuel was gone, so they decided to jump into low berths, thrust for 1/2 of their PP fuel and then coast to the next hex over (3.something LY).

We spent a session doing the math and as I recall it was something like 50 - 100 years for them to get to the stellar system. This was during the CT era, so a loooooong time ago.

I totally disagree about MD ignoring relativity… But in SpaceMaster they had a RIF (relativity inactor field) that bent the laws of the universe and made all of that hard math go away. Perhaps they are confusing the two universes?
