The main benefit of the Fusion Gun is to get factor 4/5 for one single or twin dual turrets (5/6 at TL 14+). Combined with the penetration dm, a single triple sandcaster battery can’t stop it (2+ to penetrate, especially since warships with Fusion Guns probably aren’t losing the relative computer size DM).

Not a lot of use on a Tigress but it could be very useful for something below 1KT.

As usual, Plasma guns are similar but not as good.
