1 dTon would probably be around 2-5 tonnes typically.  For bulk
liquids, minerals or metals maybe up to 10 tonnes, with specialized
provisions for the unusually high density.

You seem to have dropped a factor of 1000 there.  The 2,000 thousand
trips per year is approximately correct (though written strangely),
but the result should be 6000 per day from that calculation, not 5.5.

I think much of the trade volume for Australia is actually bulk
materials, so perhaps only 1000 departures per day if it had to be
carried by ships of that size.
