There was also a softback volume titled something like 'Spinward Marches Campaign' that gave a detailed acct of the Fifth Frontier War w/ some mention of the strategies of bath sides. It was CT

Just for reference;

The original 'High Guard' was CT, along w/ 'Trillion Credit Squadron', & 'Fifth Frontier War'.
It addition there was also 'Invasion Earth', which covered the Imperium's conquest of the Sol system at the end of the Solomani Rim War, about a century before the 5FW. It was also CT.

'Imperium' covers the period of the Interstellar Wars which culminated in the conquest of the Vilani 1st Imperium by the Terran Confederation. There are three versions of this game & all are very good, IMO, but I personally favor the 2nd ed.

The other two are post-CT.
