Guy, I embarrassed to just now think about checking in TNE Brilliant Lances
(BL) Technical Booklet, which is a short version of TNE FF&S. Both the HRT
and
PEMS sensors state that if the antenna diameter is greater than the hull
length
(unmodified by configuration), the antenna must be a folding array. There
are
thirty-three, at least I hope I counted all of them, hulls with ship data
profiles
on pp. 19-48. Seventeen of the hull, the scout/courier is one of them, have
folding antenna arrays. Based on the seventeen examples the hull length
(unmodified by configuration) refers the the length found on the Hull Size
table.

TNE BL Technical Booklet, p. 19, has a 100 Td scout/courier with an
120,000 km PEMS sensor. The PEMS Table, p. 7, lists the fixed antenna
diameter as 20 m which is > the 14 m base length of a 100 Td hull per the
size
table on p. 2. By folding the array in half an 100 Td hull with an
unmodified
length of 14 m could mount the area.

I would like to suggest that the basic and improved sensors be fixed antenna
arrays with the minimum hull length listed on the HRT/PEMS AD column. The
small and medium military packages would be folding arrays with the minimum
hull length of 0.5 x AD.
